About us

I Choose ME is an inititiative about helping young people grow into the kind of individuals they're proud to be. Every day brings choices, and those choices shape who they are becoming. We remind youth that they are worth more than the mistakes that can hold people back, and that they already have the strength to grow wiser, kinder, and more confident.

This initiative consists of programs, campaigns, and strategies grounded in Positive Youth Development (PYD) - an approach that focuses on building the strengths, skills, and confidence young people need to thrive. Rather than only focusing on avoiding problems, PYD helps youths develop healthy relationships, strong decision-making skills, and a sense of purpose so they can make choices for their lives.

Through engaging activities, encouragement, and positive role models, I Choose ME helps youth learn to value themselves, build meaningful friendships, and create opportunities for their future.

Positive Youth Development is not only about supporting kids - it also helps families, schools, and communities create enviornments where young people can succeed. When young people feel supported and empowered, everyone benefits.

I Choose ME is about more than just saying “no". It’s about saying “yes” to the values, goals, and positive paths that help kids become their best selves.
